Medical Team Qualifications:
All team members have at least five years of Critical Care experience.
All team members are certified in:
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS),
- Basic Trauma Life Support (BTLS), and
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
All team members have completed an audit of Advanced Trauma Life
Support (ATLS).
All medical personnel attend a 48-hour orientation program (which includes 8 hours of Flight Physiology), along with 20 hours of clinical time and an Anesthesia rotation, before going on active flight status.
Monthly in-service training provided by the Medical Director, along with an annual pharmacology test, invasive skills check offs and medical equipment competencies.
100% chart review by the Medical Director, as well as Total Quality
Management (TQM). |
